Like most of you today, I spent the past two days in mourning, weeping, and praying for guidance. I also prayed for the safety of the day’s events. I included a prayer of safety over outgoing President Trump and his family. I also added in my prayers, and I will do so daily, for God to speak to our new President to prevent him from following through with some of his evil plans he has in store for his term.
One thing I know for sure as a Christian is that the Church grows and flourishes when it’s under persecution. A modern-day example of this is the Church in communist China. If you were to take a stroll down any main street through Beijing, you would have no idea the Church even existed. However, the church is very much alive and thriving. Their numbers are greater than the entirety of the Christian faith here in America! Our brothers and sisters in Christ, while under persecution and heavily watched in China, have continued to spread the good news of Jesus Christ!
How do we move forward?
We as believers have to turn our eyes to God more than ever now. The battle may have been lost, but we KNOW that God has already WON! Hallelujah! The Bible says that when two or more are gathered in his name, he is also there, Matthew 18:20. Many churches have closed their doors for almost a year now due to Covid. It’s beyond time to open those doors! You as believers should be doing everything possible to gather in the name of Jesus Christ. If you’re immunocompromised, urge your church to get live streaming. If your church leadership refuses, start a small group in your home, it begins with you! We need a revival to come more than ever now to this land, and into the rest of the world.

As for me and my house, we joined with our church for a 21-day fast beginning back January first. We spent this time adding extra family prayer, and fellowship with other believers. Our church added 2 extra services this month of worship and prayer. In our last prayer and worship service, I invited several friends and believers from around the country to join us in this time together. Brothers and sisters, let me tell you, God moved! He moved over my house, he moved with those I invited, and I know within my heart of hearts he moved in mighty ways we have yet to see!
While I do not like the course our great nation has planned to take, I do not fear what they may do to me. Our God is a God of miracles, he is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! He’s the same God who parted the red sea for Moses, he is the God who laid down his only Son to save our lives. Our God has faced down many wicked kings, queens, and dictators throughout time. Hebrews 12:2 says-“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
I beg of all of you who read this that he who has eyes to see, let him see, and he who has ears to hear, hear what God is saying and doing. Turn off Facebook, turn off Fox News, open God’s word. Put on worship music, and turn off the talk radio. Immerse yourself into God, and he will pour into you amazing love and peace.
